We would like to present below a case of a patient with a Norwood IV stage. You can find below the details of the surgery.

Patient Details

Norwood: Norwood IV
Surgical Plan: Hairline reconstruction, density increase in the frontal, mid scalp due to some thinning and crown. The surgery was performed in two consecutive days with 4 sessions of extraction (manual and micromtor) and implantation sessions. 2092 grafts were implanted in the hairline and frontal area, 705 grafts in the mid scalp and 948 were implanted in the crown area.
Patient´s age: 33 years old.
The patient was recommended to use minoxidil and finasteride, however the patient decided not to use any medication
Hair Thickness: 54 microns in the parietal areas and 57 microns in the occipital area.
Hair Type: caucasian, brown hair, slightly thinner than average
Number of Grafts Implanted: 3745
0.85mm micromotor punch and 0.8mm manual punch were used for the extraction.
